Around O-Town

Hey!

Went around the neighborhood and took some shots around town. Not a lot going on but I got a few nice shots.

This was a telephone pole. Not sure why it has so many nails and staples but I'd think it would look cool to look at it from an angle and really close up. I made the sky a bit grayer so as to keep the overall tone the same. It would of been to bright on the right side.

This one was fun to do. I took the image and mixed it with an photo of a dirty crumpled up sketchpad paper. I rolled my computer chair over it and got all sorts of dirt circles on it and crumpled it a tab to give it a worn out feel. I also gave the image a yellow/blue tinge and reduced the saturation so as to give it a more old look.

There is a church near by my house that I've been meaning to take photos of. It's really simple looking but still is really nice to look at. I basically enhanced the color to be more vivid while keeping detail in the building.

There are about 140 + more photos (many repeats) of the town, but none that I have gone back and edited with. I'm sure I'll post more later, but for now, you have these to work with ^_^

Awesome photos! I love what you did with the picture of the VW bus. Hippie van plus self made texture = brilliant work. And I actually like the first version of the the first photo more than the edit.

And thanks for the blog comment. Quite obviously, the sky in the last picture is heavily edited, but I didn't paste another picture of clouds in there... they really looked that big; they just didn't have as much contrast as in the picture you see on the blog.

Have a nice weekend!
